Rosewood Park Launch & Dedication

Located in Rosewood, Florida, a once-thriving Black community in the 1920s, the Rosewood Historic Park will be a place dedicated to remembrance, education, and unity for current generations and those to come.

Hosted by Florida historian Dr. Marvin Dunn and the Miami Center for Racial Justice, the Launch and Dedication is a specially curated two-day experience to mark the opening of the Rosewood Historic Park on Jan 10-11, 2026.

On Sunday Jan 11th, the park will be open to the public from 10am – 4pm with a dedication ceremony at noon followed by a luncheon.

On Saturday Jan 10th, there is a bus tour leaving south Florida to visit several Black heritage sites in central/north Florida and ending in Rosewood on Sunday for the Dedication ceremony and park launch festivities.

Join us for BOTH days or only the Day of Dedication – We welcome you to be a part of preserving Black history and advancing Rosewood’s enduring legacy!
